But I may have an opinion when I get to see Grid on my S8's WQHD display :)īeen playing Grid Autosport this weekend (I'm level 165 in RR3), and can say it's different and more challenging in ways. Either way, both games look premium so I don't think that's an important thing to compare. RR3 is far from average and looks great but Grid does look to be higher quality from what I've seen. Graphics-wise, it's hard to tell on low resolution YouTube videos. Simply changing the difficulty level works and avoids all that nonesense.
IPHONE X GRID AUTOSPORT WALLPAPER UPGRADE
It's not intuitive, it's not particularly fun, it feels nothing like what a racing game should be about but when it comes down to choosing between needing to spend gold to upgrade or waiting hours for servicing and bot slowing, there's really no contest.

I have to jump through hoops to get the bots to the difficulty level I want. Yes, I can game it to work in my favour but the very idea that it's a bad idea to try do as well as you can, waiting at the line for bots to catch up is a good method to avoid excessive wait times and gold costs and that bot slowing strategies are even a thing, let alone an accepted and seemingly encouraged part of the game just winds me up. I really detest the bot/TSM system in RR3. It's not clear if the bots in Grid are more life like but I've seen much more overtaking and much less railway AI in the few sort videos I've seen today of Grid than over a month of playing RR3.Īnother big draw is being able to choose your difficulty setting. left alone, the bots very rarely do anything outside of their processional line hugging and you only ever see them do anything differently at the start of a race when it's congested. Again, this might be due to the players in the videos but I did notice that you get penalised for going off track and the bots don't seem to be quite so "on rails" as in RR3 (one of the least impressive aspects of RR3. It definitely doesn't look quite so simple to roast the bots in Grid. I've seen other videos of Grid though and it looks pretty smooth in the right hands.

One thing RR3 has going for it is the control is really smooth and it's genuinely enjoyable to drive using tilt. Really hard to watch because of the player's lack of control (I put it down to lack of experience and it's not the only video like that). Player makes GRID look hard to control, graphics look very nice Real Racing 3 vs GRID Autosport - сравнение геймплеяSide by side Youtube video.
