

I added some more oats to offset this and give it the right ‘crumble’ texture. The biggest mistake was accidentally putting 1/2 a cup (instead of 1/3) of coconut oil into the crumble which made is waaaay too smooth of a mixture. Spread the mix on top of the apples, drizzle about 1/2 a tablespoon of maple syrup on top, and bake for approx. Then start with the crumble, mix everything together leaving the coconut oil to be added only once everything has been evenly mixed. Toss it around until everything is evenly spread (I just used my hands). Then, add the maple syrup, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Rub butter inside a small pan, then place in the sliced apples, and poor lemon juice overtop.
